The Bismarck Rotary Club is selling this beautiful ornament for $19.95 each: One of Bismarck's most historic homes—the C.B. Little House—hand painted on a white porcelain three inch disc.
These handmade porcelain holiday ornaments are signed and numbered by North Dakota artist, Vida Klocke. Only 500 of these were created and will be sold to support the Rotary's local and international philanthropic projects. Each year the Rotary plans on releasing a new ornament that will have illustrations of historical and important buildings in the Bismarck area.
The 2010 ornament features the C.B. Little House, located at 504 North Washington Street in Bismarck. Early Bismarck's premier business leader, C.B. Little, built this stately mansion for his family in 1906. The Diocese of Bismarck acquired the home after Little's death in 1942. Until the mid-sixties, the home was a convent for 65 nuns. Later, it became an office for the Diocese. Now restored, the house serves as headquarters for the State Bar Association of North Dakota.
