The Bismarck Rotary Club’s "Evening in Ecuador" fine wine and cheese social and auction is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Bismarck State College’s National Energy Center of Excellence—fourth floor.
Silent and live auction items include quality handcrafted art, wearables, and jewelry direct from Ecuador. Pifer Auction and Realty will conduct the live auction.
Proceeds from the event will support the “Children of the Andes” program based in Quito, Ecuador. This program is supported by the Rotary Club Quito Valle Interoceanico, the Bismarck Rotary Club has partnered with the Quito club to raise funds this year for badly needed play equipment, water purification units, and educational media for the four pre-schools run by the program.

Cost is $10, which includes 2 glasses of wine & appetizers. Tickets are available at Bismarck Rotary, Wednesdays at noon, Bismarck-Mandan Elks Clubroom; Main Street Tire; the UPS Store; and at the door.
